Referral Terms

Rules for referral codes, rewards, promo codes, tiers, and reseller growth features.

These Referral Terms apply to referral links, referral rewards, promo codes, account tiers, commission programs, and related growth features on MSAL Data Hub (collectively, “Growth Programs”). By participating, you agree to these terms in addition to our Terms of Service.

1. Program overview

Growth Programs are designed to reward users who introduce new customers or operate as resellers/agents with tier-based pricing, referral bonuses, promotional discounts, or commissions. Program availability, rates, and eligibility may change at any time.

2. Eligibility

  • Participants must have an active account in good standing.
  • Some programs require admin approval (for example, tier upgrade applications).
  • We may restrict participation by region, account type, or activity level.
  • Suspended, fraudulent, or duplicate accounts are not eligible for rewards.

3. Referral codes and links

  • Referral codes must be used during registration or as directed on the Platform.
  • Self-referrals, circular referrals, and multiple accounts created to earn rewards are prohibited.
  • Referral relationships are recorded at registration; retroactive claims may not be honored.
  • Referral rewards are issued only when program conditions are met (for example, qualifying activity or admin approval).

4. Referral rewards and commissions

  • Reward amounts, payout methods, and timing are defined by the active program rules displayed on the Platform or approved by admin.
  • Approved rewards may be paid to your wallet balance unless otherwise stated.
  • Commissions and referral payouts may be pending until transaction success is confirmed.
  • We may withhold or reverse rewards if fraud, abuse, or chargebacks are detected.

5. Promo codes

  • Promo codes may offer discounts on eligible services subject to usage limits, expiry dates, and per-user caps.
  • Promo codes cannot be stacked unless explicitly allowed.
  • Sharing, selling, or publishing promo codes outside authorized channels may result in cancellation.
  • Invalid, expired, or exhausted promo codes will not apply at checkout.

6. Account tiers (Regular, Reseller, Agent, etc.)

  • Tier assignments affect pricing on eligible services.
  • Tier applications may require review and approval.
  • We may downgrade or revoke tiers for inactivity, policy violations, or misrepresentation.
  • Tier pricing is applied server-side; attempts to manipulate prices client-side will not succeed.

7. Prohibited conduct and abuse prevention

The following may result in reward cancellation, wallet restrictions, or account termination:

  • Creating fake referrals or using bots to generate sign-ups.
  • Coordinated abuse across multiple accounts or devices.
  • Misleading advertising that misrepresents MSAL Data Hub or guaranteed earnings.
  • Spamming referral links or violating applicable marketing laws.
  • Exploiting technical bugs to obtain unauthorized rewards.

8. Taxes and reporting

You are responsible for any tax obligations arising from rewards or commissions you receive, in accordance with applicable Nigerian tax laws. We do not provide tax advice.

9. Program changes and termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any Growth Program at any time. Changes may affect future rewards but will not retroactively alter legitimately earned and approved rewards except where fraud is identified.

Referral or commission disputes should be reported with your account email and relevant reference numbers. See our Dispute Resolution process.
